Disney's Hollywood Studios is gearing up for the big opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. As a result, many of the park's shopping locations are currently closed while extensive refurbishments are carried out. Additionally, some attractions are seeing some minor downtime. Perhaps in an effort to take care of known issues that haven't been addressed in the past. Currently, Tower of Terror is running at half capacity, meaning one of the drop shafts is not in use. This is why you've probably noticed a spike in wait times and less Fastpass+ availability for the attraction. We now know of a second attraction going down for a brief time to also accommodate some minor refurbishments.
Voyage of the Little Mermaid, located in Animation Courtyard, will close on two separate occasions this summer. Each closure will only be for a three-day period. The show will not run between July 15th and 17th and again between July 30th and August 1st. All other dates this summer are currently scheduled to have a normal performance schedule.
