Up! A Great Bird Adventure Closing for Brief Refurbishment in September

After being open for just over a year, one of Animal Kingdom's animal shows is closing for a brief period in September. Up! A Great Bird Adventure debuted in April 2018 as a reworking of the original Flights of Wonder show. The show features an educational look at a few feathered creatures on our planet. But in an effort to incorporate more Disney characters into the show, Disney added Dug and Russell from the Pixar film Up! to the show to draw in more audiences.

Up! A Great Bird Adventure will close for a two week period in September. The show will go dark from Sunday, September 8th to Saturday, September 21st. Any changes or updates coming to show during this refurbishment period is unclear. The show is currently scheduled to reopen on Sunday September 22nd with its regular show schedule. Before that, Up! will continue to perform up to five times a day and Fastpass+ reservations are available and part of Animal Kingdom's tier 2 category.
