On August 12th, 2019, Disney Springs will finally open the NBA Experience on the West Side neighborhood of the shopping and dining district. The multi-level structure on the western edge of Disney Springs was once home to DisneyQuest. An interactive indoor theme park the opened back in 1998. However, the enormous play area was closed forever in 2016 to make way for the NBA Experience. An interactive experience like none other that puts basketball fans in the shoes of their favorite players.
The structure has been nearly gutted to rebuild an impressive 5-story building inspired by the modern architecture of new NBA arenas around the country. Once inside, guests...
...can feel what it’s like to be a real basketball star by participating in 13 interactive and hands-on activities. With a ticket to NBA Experience, you will test and improve your shooting and dribbling skills, get your photo taken while throwing down a rim-rocking dunk, and feel like a top draft pick, just to name a few of the immersive opportunities that will blend Disney magic with the high-caliber action of the NBA and WNBA.
Just yesterday, Disney announced that tickets can now be purchased for the NBA Experience, and you'll be happy to know that it is at a very affordable price point. Guests 10 and up can purchase tickets for $34 plus tax, and kids 3 to 9 can purchase tickets at $29 plus tax. Even though the two experiences are vastly different, DisneyQuest was previously priced at $45 and $39 respectively. However, at slower times in the year, guests could score a half-price deal when arriving at the last few hours of the day when DisneyQuest was still in operation. Currently, there are only single-day tickets offered for the NBA Experience. Tickets can be purchased online here and all major ticket windows around Walt Disney World property. At the moment there doesn't seem to be a discount on single-day tickets for Annual Passholders or DVC members.
