Recreation and Amenities Revealed for Disney's Riviera Resort

Last month we learned that reservations are now available for non-DVC members wanting to book a stay at the upcoming Riviera Resort at Walt Disney World. This will be Disney Vacation Club's 15th property in the world, and today we have a few more details on the amenities that will be offered here.

The resort's main feature pool will be simply named, Riviera Pool. It is meant to feel as if you're lounging at a European getaway along the Riviera.

Riviera Main Pool and S’il Vous Play Area
Imagine the relaxing feel of lounging around the Southern European coast where you can soak up the sun in lounge chairs or hang out beneath a colorful sun umbrella.

Like any Disney hotel pool, there will be a slide for the young, or young at heart, to enjoy shaped like a stone turret. Wishing the main pool complex, there will also be a splash area for real little ones called S’il Vous Play; a play on the French phrase "s'il house plaît" which translates to "if you plesase". The splash pad will feature 'a whimsical fountain featuring several beloved characters from Disney's Fantasia.'

Beau Soleil Pool at Disney's Riviera Resort

But for those traveling Disney World without children and perhaps wanting to escape the crowds, you'll also be able to relax at the Beau Soleil leisure pool. This will be the resort's second and more secluded pool area nestled within a mini-oasis of palm trees.

The pool area will finally feature Bar Riva, a pool-side bar serving up refreshing cocktails and small bites. If sitting at the bar or lounge area is not your speed, poolside service will also be available. Bar Riva will be the resort's fourth dining location. The resort will feature a quick service location called Primo Piatto. Le Petit Café will serve coffee and grab and go breakfast items by day and transform into a wine bar at night. Best of all, will be Topolino's Terrace; a table service restaurant located at the top of the hotel with spectacular views of Epcot's fireworks display.

Disney Skyliner Station at Disney's Riviera Resort

And as a bonus treat, Disney has revealed some more concept art of the Disney Skyliner, which will have a station at Disney's Riviera Resort. The new transportation system will connect hotel guests staying at Riviera to the International Gateway entrance to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
