According to Disney's website, the Camera Center, which is located near the entrance to Spaceship Earth, will reopen on December 7th. Disney has previously stated that the Camera Center would receive a minor refurbishment and would soon be the new location for Pin Central at the park. If you've ever visited Epcot at the start of popular festivals such as Food & Wine and Flower & Garden, you know that there has historically been long lines by the original Pin Central to snatch up some limited edition pins for the festival. Well, beginning on December 7th, Epcot fans can once again grab some of their favorite pins and towards the beginning of Epcot's Festival of the Holidays.
The original Pin Central will soon be completely demolished as Epcot undergoes a huge overhaul. Future World will soon be broken up into three newly named neighborhoods and the central spine of the park will be known as World Celebration. A new Mickey and Walt statue will be erected near the previous Pin Central behind Spaceship Earth. Additionally, new green spaces will take replace older structures such as Club Cool, Innoventions and the Fountains of Nations that have been around since the park first opened in 1982.
