New Concept Art Revealed for Jaleo in Disney Springs

Just when you thought Disney finished revealing new dining locations at Disney Springs, we get more details on yet another exciting restaurant. Jaleo will be a new table service restaurant in the West Side area of Disney Springs. Taking up the previous location of Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe, which has been renamed and moved to Town Center.

Jaleo will bring the 'spirit and flavors of Spain to Disney Springs'. Both this and the upcoming Toledo restaurant at Coronado Springs, will mark Disney's World first launch into the wonders of Spanish cuisine.

Jaleo is a concept from award winning chef José Andrés. He is the owner of ThinkFoodGroup and currently has 27 restaurants in both the US and internationally. Jaleo here at Disney Springs will actually be the franchise's sixth location. Andrés is the only chef in the world to have 2-star Michelin restaurant on top of 4 Bib Gourmands. But on top of being a food expert, he is also a humanitarian and author.

The restaurant here at Disney has been designed by the design firm known as Capella Garcia Arquitectura. And Jaleo will not only reflect the culinary style of Spain, but it's world-famous architecture as well. The building will be a massive 22,000 square feet and said to be inspired by an artichoke. Julia Capella from the design firm has stated that, "There are no cubic forms, no opaque walls, no straight lines: here reigns a plant-like organic structure with its dynamic forms. An avant-garde, expressionist and welcoming architecture.”

Inside the unique building, guests will be able to gather round and enjoy classic Spanish tapas and sangria. But Jaleo will also feature a quick-service concept serving Spanish street food. Many of the new dining locations in Disney Springs have executed a similar quick service counterpart to it's main dining room with Homecoming, Morimoto Asia and Frontera Cocina.

We currently do not have an official opening date, but Disney has stated that this new restaurant will open this winter. The restaurant was originally scheduled to open in Fall 2018, but has since been delayed. Stay tuned for more details.
