Today, Disney has announced that a new mini-show will be coming to Asia at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Back in February of 2018, the park quietly ended Chakranadi; a two-piece musical act that included a sitar and tabla player. It was on of those subtle entertainment offerings that got overlooked, but nonetheless added a more authentic ambiance to this area of the park. More successful musical acts have had longer runs at Harambe over in the Africa section of the park. Ever since its closing, the land has seen no additional street-mosphere entertainment in the area near Yak & Yeti Restaurant. On March 3rd, that all changes.
Bollywood Beats, an exhilarating Indian dance experience, is a wildly energetic show that brings traditional Indian dance together with the fire of Hindi film. From classical Indian rhythms of Kathak to the proud folk style of Bhangra to modern Bollywood popular dance, the performers of Bollywood Beats have something for every dance lover to enjoy in this spirited interactive performance.
While we don't have official showtimes yet, Bollywood Beats will perform several times a day at the stage across from the Anandapur Theater in Asia. This was a newly erected mini-stage that went up sometime in late 2019.
