Jack Skellington to Host New Fireworks Show at Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Disney has now confirmed a few more details regarded the all-new fireworks show that will take place during every night of the Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. First of all, we now know the official name of this new entertainment offering, Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular. This new show will utilize the technology installed for Happily Ever After, which debuted at the Magic Kingdom in 2017 and is by far, Disney World's best nighttime spectacular.

Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” serves as the host of this all-new nighttime extravaganza, with state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting and dazzling fireworks filling the sky above Magic Kingdom Park. Jack has come to tell a not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. Jack’s ghost dog, Zero, then flies off carrying everyone along on a trick-or-treating adventure, where four friends – Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy – find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. Their journey takes them from one room of the house to another, encountering dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains. “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” promises to be the perfect Halloween treat!

Other returning entertainment offerings for 2019 will of course be the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, the Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and dance parties in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. The Disney Junior Jam will once again be located at Storybook Circus featuring Vamparinia, Doc McStuffins and new this year, Fancy Nancy will appear. This is a fantastic place for really young ones to blow off steam at the party. The Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball will return to Tomorrowland and Disney has said that the trick-or-treat trail inside the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor will also get some minor enhancements.

Select attractions will also have some fun overlays again for 2019. Pirates of the Caribbean is expected to have a cast of live actors dotted throughout the attraction. Mad Tea Party will receive some fun lighting effects to make a spin on the tea cups a little more exciting. Finally, Space Mountain will again go completely dark with all the stars and lighting effects completely shut-off and an enhanced soundtrack.

Tickets are now available for the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom, as well as reservations for the dessert party and the new Cruella's Hideaway dining event at Tony's Town Square Restaurant.
