International Women's Day Celebration at Walt Disney World

Judy Hops at Tomorrowland International Women's Day Dance Party

March 8th is International Women's Day; the first ever observance of a celebration focusing on women's rights was held on February 28th, 1909 in New York City. A couple of years later similar celebrations were held on March 8th throughout Europe. Now, International Women's Day is celebrated around the globe, including Walt Disney World. While it is not a political or social celebration, Disney keeps it simple and will be offering a few specialty food items at all four parks along with some special character appearances made by women in honor of the big day.

Magic Kingdom Park
