Today is the last day Magic Kingdom will offer Villains After Hours, arguably one of the best special ticketed events available at Walt Disney World's premiere theme park. It seems that either locals or other guests visiting from out of state realized that after August 8th, this event would vanish into thin air and tonight's event is now officially sold out. This is only the second time the event sold out, the first was on the event's opening day back in June.
Magic Kingdom will continue offering the regular Disney After Hours event without the villains for the rest of August and into September on Thursday nights only. To be exact, this event will be available between August 22nd and September 26th. This means for next couple of weeks, Magic Kingdom will feature not one but two special ticketed events in the evenings. Both the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Disney After Hours. Once October arrives, the Halloween Party will be the only evening event taking place until November when Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party takes over. This means, if you're visiting the park during the day for the next couple of months and skipping on the extra events, make sure you select your days wisely. Don't get caught visiting Magic Kingdom on a day it closes early for these nighttime events.
Currently, Walt Disney World has not announced or confirmed if either of the After Hours events will return to the Magic Kingdom in 2020. Disney After Hours is still available at Animal Kingdom on select Monday and Tuesdays night until September 23rd. For tickets, click here.
