We are just about halfway through the year and getting closer to the grand opening of Disney's Riviera Resort at Walt Disney World. This DVC resort hotel will offer and array of accommodations set in the French and Italian Riviera. The resort is meant to be inspired by Walt and Lillian's travels throughout the Mediterranean filled with beautiful architecture and a laid back vibe that only the Europeans know how to enjoy. The resort will also offer a rooftop signature dining experience that will include a character meal during breakfast hours and stunning views of fireworks in the evening. It will be called Topolino's Terrace, which is Mickey's name in Italian. Today, we've learned more details about this restaurant and reservations have now opened to guests.
Breakfast begins with fresh pastries—delicious Danish, croissants, blueberry scones, or Epi bread—a rustic pull-apart baguette shaped like a wheat stalk. Your choice of entrées follows: Quiche Gruyère with house-made pancetta, Sour Cream Waffle, Wood-fired Butchers Steak, Smoked Salmon, Spiced Sausage Hash, Two Eggs Any Style, plant-based “Egg” Omelet and more.
During this character breakfast experience, guests will get to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy. All of them dressed in their latest outfits with a European flair. This restaurant promises to be an elegant and relaxing way to start the day meeting your favorite Disney characters and before jumping aboard the Skyliner to Epcot. Where you'll be transported right to the France Pavilion and continue your European-inspired day with international travel around World Showcase.
Dinner at Topolino's Terrace will be very different. In the evening hours, there will be no characters present. But couples and families will be able to enjoy a romantic evening with delicious food paired with a view of fireworks from Epcot and possibly Hollywood Studios. The restaurant is inspired by cliffside dining locations found throughout Italy and France. Guests will be able to indulge in fresh, delicious seafood and meat dishes, handmade pasta and decadent desserts infused with French and Italian flavors.
**UPDATED** Disney has now revealed the full menu at this dining location for breakfast and dinner. At the moment, there are no prices listed, but it is very possible this will be considered a signature restaurant at least during the evening hours. Reservations are now open for Topolino's Terrace on Disney's official website here.
