Disney recently confirmed what Star Wars entertainment and character appearances will change and remain the same once Galaxy's Edge opens at Hollywood Studios. The new land is scheduled to open on August 29th, with Cast Member and Passholder Previews beginning at the start of August. Once the land is open to the general public, we now know that most Star Wars offerings will remain the same throughout the rest of the park. However one change is coming to Star Wars Launch Bay. Starting on August 29th, Darth Vader will replace Kylo Ren at his meet and greet location inside the Launch Bay. This is presumably due to the fact the Kylo will be seen roaming throughout the new land as he currently does over in Disneyland. For now, it seems that both Chewbacca and BB-8 will remain inside this gallery as well. Please note that Fastpass+ reservations are not offered at any of the character experiences inside Star Wars Launch Bay.
March of the First Order concluded its run recently on July 7th. Again, this is to prepare for the new land in August. Stormtroopers will also roam Batuu at Galaxy's Edge and it is safe to assume that Disney wants to eliminate any traffic problems on Hollywood Blvd once the land opens and guests start pouring in. However, the remaining entertainment offerings will remain the same after the land opens. This means Jedi Training will remain the same over by Star Tours as will the Galaxy Far, Far Away stage show in front of the Chinese Theater and Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.
Disney is clearly making Star Wars offerings available throughout the entire park in the first few months of Galaxy's Edge being open. The land will most likely involve a digital queueing system to enter the land to avoid bottlenecking. Disney also wants to make sure that Star Wars fans can get their fix as the wait to enter the land and after they exit. For the time being, Star Tours - The Adventures Continue will remain open until further notice. Many have wondered if the classic attraction will remain open given the fact that it is located outside of Galaxy's Edge. Once Rise of the Resistance opens on December 5th and has been open for a while, it is possible that the original simulator attraction will close in order to make the overall Star Wars experience cohesive.
